The phrase "Interstellar Hop Sh" sounds like the beginning of a sailor’s chant. And perhaps it should. The sailors of the 15th century did not sail in straight lines across the Atlantic. They followed the trade winds—atmospheric "gravity assists." They performed hops from the Canaries to the Caribbean.
