The album is a sonic tribute to Miller's roots in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Its namesake is a real section of , located just blocks from where he grew up and attended Taylor Allderdice High School. Mac famously sprinted up that iconic concrete slide to show fans how to properly use cardboard for extra speed, declaring that no matter how much his life changed, "that slide will always be blue".
