When the club first launched, we were exactly what you might expect: a dozen students crammed into a computer lab after school, shouting over Super Smash Bros. matches and arguing about controller settings. There was passion, but no structure. We had no clear leader, no schedule, and — worst of all for a gaming club — no agreement on what “gaming” even meant. Some wanted competitive e-sports.
