The people over at NI have been in denial over this fact for years. On the other hand, no such freezing, stalling, or hanging problems with plugins from motionVFX, Coremelt, FCPeffects, or Red Giant. That all the trials and optional addins are installed by default is what stops me from installing it.
Install FxFactory and you get 60 plugins installed on next startup – and then there’s no “uncheck all”. You have to go through every one and uninstall if you don’t want it. Quite ridiculous.
