Chief Architect offers a of Premier X12 (or the current X15/X16 version). It is identical to the paid version, with one exception: you cannot save or print after 30 days. However, for learning or a short-term project, this is the only truly "high quality" way to use the software without paying.
There are a few legitimate ways to acquire a product key for the Premier X12 version:
Educational Licenses: Students and educators in accredited architectural or design programs may be eligible for discounted or free educational versions of the software. These come with their own unique product keys.
